Description
The Victory-class destroyer was arguably the most advanced warships of their age. Each mounted two armor piercing guns, both in the forward arc, thus allowing the ironclads to launch devastating attacks. With the guns demanding heavier mountings and maneuvering controls than a destroyer could rightly carry, and having the magazines located in the forward section as well, the ironclads were constructed without armor.
